Friends

Television is a phenomenoum since 60's. This stuff can take our attention and make we spent a lot of hours watching it without fellling the time pass. Nowadays, everybody has a TV at home and watch it everyday. However, some programs can entertain many kinds of generation. That is what happened with the sitcom "Friends". This sitcom is about 6 friends (Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Ross) and what happen in their lifes, since the most common thing (for instance, met your friends in a Cafe and talk with them about how was your day) until being hired by a big Soup Opera (when Joey appeared in "Days of Our Lives"). This sitcom was so successful that many people still watch this program, even though it has finished for 10 years. Furthermore, people with all ages watch this and they have good time. I'm a particularly Friends fan, because I guess this sitcom can exactly dovetail in my life. What they represent in their episods are what happen in many people's life and that is the reason why it's so funny, because you can see you in their shoes! Therefore, I want to know you guys: Why have Friends made too much success?

  1. My comment on that is totally biased since I've got all seasons and have seen straight on at least twice!

    I believe the fact that it's about everyday stuff, things we face and can make fun of ourselves, even identifying more with one of them?

    Great topic, to me, at least!

  2. I agree with you when say "you can see you in their shoes". Actually, the situations showed on the episodes are funny because they are a type of caricature of real life... I didn't like friends. But now that I saw some episodes in my English class, I've learned to like this and I want to watch more...

    Great topic;
